Life Groups are small groups seeking to order their everyday lives together around Jesus and His mission. Life Group members seek to inspire, encourage, support, and care for one another in a shared and intentional rhythm of life. They meet weekly to discuss the Scripture, pray, and enjoy each other’s company. Some groups meet on campus Sunday mornings and other groups meet off campus throughout the week. Off campus groups are grouped primarily by geography. To find a Life Group, drop by the Connection Center on a Sunday morning or email us and we’ll get you connected.
“And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ…” – Ephesians 4:11–13
God desires for His people to be mature and active in doing the work of ministry. Jesus gave leaders to the Church to equip his people to promote their growth and engagement in the mission. Whatever God is going to do, He is going to do it through all of His people, not just through professional clergy. Equipping at the Cross is on the first Monday of the month, focused on equipping God’s people for maturity and ministry, including theological instruction, character development, and practical skills for participating in God’s mission. Prologue is an introduction to Church at the Cross for newcomers where our pastor shares what matters most to our church and takes questions about the things that matter most to you. Prologue is held every six weeks. Check out the calendar to see when our next Prologue takes place and to register to attend.
We regularly offer a Gospel and Baptism Class for those who are interested in Christian baptism. The class lasts for about an hour and is held in a casual environment and is led by one of our Elders. Email Pete Brooks, Pastor of Care and Assimilation by clicking the link below for any questions or to find out details about our next class.
At Church at the Cross we strive to provide spiritual and emotional care to those in our church who are in need. We also have a Deacon Ministry that seeks to work with people in physical and financial need. Click the link below to see more on our Care Ministry.
We believe every Christian should be a member of a local church. At Church at the Cross we value church membership and invite you to pursue covenant membership with us.
Our Membership Class is an eight session course where you learn about the gospel, our basic beliefs, our mission and values, and how we function together in shared life as a community of Christ-followers. At the completion of the course, those desiring to become covenant members are informally interviewed by our elders to complete the membership process.
There are many opportunities to serve at Church at the Cross from being a greeter on Sunday mornings or serving in our children and student ministries, to volunteering with one of our partners. To find a place to serve or get more info, click the link below.
