Serve

Our volunteers are absolutely critical to all that we do here at Church at the Cross.  We would love to have you join us as we help people and places encounter Jesus!

Annual SERVE Event | August

Serve Screen-01

SERVE is Church at the Cross’s annual gathering on August 19, 2017 to inspire and train current leaders and volunteers as well as welcome in a new crew. We had a really encouraging inaugural event in 2016 and look forward to 2017.  If you are interested in serving with a specific ministry, please click the tab for that ministry on the left and fill out the online form.

Kids at the Cross

Kids at the Cross is committed to pointing our children and families toward Jesus.  On Sunday mornings, volunteers can be found greeting families, caring for babies, singing with our children, teaching Bible lessons, and more.  We are pleased to use The Gospel Project, a three-year curriculum that teaches preschoolers and kids that the Bible is not just a collection of stories, but one unified story – God’s story of redemption. As a part of the Kids at the Cross volunteer team, you’ll be equipped to serve our children and families well.

We need help in both the 9am and 10:30am hours.  If you are interested in serving, fill out the form below and our Director of Family and Children’s Ministry, Lori Atkeisson, will reach out to you.

If you will need childcare, please also fill out this form. http://goo.gl/EgaR1G

Students at the Cross

The student ministry of Church of the Cross exists to contextualize the church’s vision of helping people and places encounter Jesus, in the lives of students and their families. In the student ministry, we see this vision coming to fruition as we seek to reach, teach, train, and send students. Student ministry is highly relational. It requires a team of people who love students and are ready to invest in their lives. This could mean leading a student life group on Sunday morning or possibly leading a small group at one of our middle or high school worship gatherings throughout the month. We look forward to getting to know you, and seeing what the Lord may have in store for you as a volunteer in the student ministry.

If you are interested in joining the student ministry volunteer team, fill out the form below and our Student Minister, James Sercey, will reach out to you.

Hospitality Ministry

As the front line for hospitality, our parking attendants, door openers, hand shakers, people guiders, and info desk volunteers all work together to create a hospitable environment that mirrors the heart of Jesus. As a by-product of serving in this ministry, you will find yourself developing a more robust connection to our people as you build relationships with those you are greeting and serving alongside.

We need help in both the 9am and the 10:30am hours. If you are interested, please fill out the form below and Pastor of Care and Assimilation, Pete Brooks, will reach out to you.

Prayer and Care Ministry

You have trouble in your life.  Therefore you know how a listening ear and a caring prayer of another is a real means of grace and hope. That is simply the goal of our Prayer/Care Team – to help those who are suffering by listening and responding appropriately to their needs with the love and hope of Christ. Whether it be a conversation in understanding Jesus more or dealing with personal pain, this team is humbled to “be there” for others who are openly seeking to share their struggle. We have training and place new team members together with existing team members initially.

We need help after both the 9am and the 10:30am hours in the Prayer/Care area of the Connection Center.  If you are interested, please fill out the form below and Pastor of Care and Assimilation, Pete Brooks, will reach out to you.

If you will need childcare, please also fill out this form. http://goo.gl/EgaR1G
