Day 13: Give ourselves to prayer and seeking God’s face.

Welcome to Day 13 of 20 Days of Prayer for the Awaken Conference!

Scripture: 1 Kings 8:10-11 NIV — “When the priests withdrew from the Holy Place, the cloud filled the temple of the Lord. And the priests could not perform their service because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled his temple.” 

Prayer Prompt: Pray that we give ourselves to prayer, honestly pleading with God for his presence. Not merely the answering of specific requests, but the visitation of his Presence among us in power—satisfying us, transforming us, revealing his heart and will to us, healing us. In the days of Solomon when the temple was completed and dedicated, the glory of the Lord descended (the manifestation of God’s presence), and the priest could no longer fulfill their duties. When Pentecost happened, the disciples were praying and the Spirit came in power, and the people spoke in tongues and prophesied, and thousands were saved. Pray that we will seek God’s face and completely surrender to the ramifications of him answering and that we will even be willing to look foolish in the eyes of the world.
